Equine Memorial Giving

E&D close-up in creekThe loss of a horse is incredibly difficult for both horse owners and veterinarians.  When you become close to a client or friend, you may want to offer more than just sympathy during a time of loss.

With an Equine Memorial gift, you can make a gesture of support that reinforces the strong commitment you have to your client or friend and their beloved horse.

Thanks to the support of AAEP Educational Partner Zoetis, they are generously “matching” all equine memorial donations up to a cumulative total of $25,000, allowing participants to double the impact of their contributions.

Upon receiving the donation, a compassionate letter conveying sympathy over the loss of their equine companion is sent to the horse owner or designated contact.  The sympathy letter communicates the Foundation’s and Zoetis' commitment to supporting the mission of improving the welfare of horses.

Over the years, many veterinary practices, farms, trainers and others have made this valuable program an important part of their client relations protocol.  Because of this program, several owners whose horses have been remembered have, in turn, made donations to the Foundation to fund additional equine and educational outreach.
